Our Dominate classes at 615 are designed for athletes to improve their performance on the field or on the court. For those athletes that need to get an extra step on the competition, we recommend our Speed & Agility class. We are different than any other facility in the Nashville area because of our technique training.
Our speed technique and training will help you become a more efficient runner. When you learn how to run with greater efficiency, you will have more stamina and endurance in addition to being faster. Even if you are considered “fast”, there are some inefficiencies in your running style that we will be able to identify and help you improve. So why not be faster?
The Dominate Speed class will also include agility movements to improve your linear and lateral ability to get in and out of cuts that mimic plays you make in your games.
In our Strength classes, our main focus is on power. Power = Force multiplied by Velocity. Our approach to strength training is not based on how MUCH weight, but how FAST you move the weight. With our focus being on power, our training easily translates to performance on the field.
If you’re looking for a CrossFit type class or to see how much weight you can lift, 615 is not for you. There are a lot of places around Nashville where you can do that and lift as much as possible every day. Our goal is to make you a better player and to prepare you for college athletics, and that does not include, “how much you bench?”
Our goals include helping you get on the DL before he can get to you, kicking the ball harder and with more velocity in the corner of the net, helping you jump higher and quicker for that dunk or rebound, helping you generate more torque so you can crush a baseball or softball. These results are not a product of more weight on the bar. They’re a product of moving the weight on the bar at a higher rate of speed.
All of our Speed & Strength programming is designed by Coach Kevin Fitzgerald. Coach Fitz is a former D1 Strength & Conditioning Coach (Florida State, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt) and he brings that knowledge and experience to all the athletes at 615.
Athletes that train at 615 in our Dominate Strength program are prepared for the high demands on a college athlete because they have been training that way with us for a while.
